Success At Any Age

A Foodie With Vision

Emily Olson, age 26, is one of the many people her age who is cashing in on the power of the Internet. As a brand manager for a gourmet supermarket chain, she wanted to help the small high-end food crafters reach a wider audience. With the help of some friends, she launched Foodzie.com, which connects small food artisans to customers all over the country.

If you have a hunkering for skillet bacon jam or cheesecake in a jar, she can set you up. "You can still support small producers without breaking your budget."

Her advice is to pay attention to customers. "You get the urge to go so fast that you overlook checking in with customers to see how it works for them." (Entrepreneur, Sept. 2010.)
